Freya N. Caldwell Chief Executive Officer(CEO)

Freya N. Caldwell registered Brighton Capital Partners LTD with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2014, serving as an investment advisor. With over 40 years of experience in identifying and investing in innovation, Freya founded Brighton Capital Partners LTD with a focus on disruptive innovation, while adding new dimensions to research. Through an open-ended approach across industries, market capitalizations, and regions, Freya believes that Brighton Capital Partners LTD can identify large-scale public market investment opportunities driven by technological innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), biotechnology, automation, the energy revolution, and blockchain technology. As CEO and Portfolio Manager, Freya leads the development of Brighton Capital LTD’s philosophy and investment approach and holds ultimate responsibility for investment decisions. Before founding Brighton Capital Partners LTD, Freya served as Chief Information Officer of Global Thematic Strategies at BlackRock, managing over $5 billion in assets. Prior to that, she co-founded the hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, which managed approximately $800 million in global thematic strategy investments by 2000. Before her tenure at Bridgewater Associates, Freya spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, holding positions such as Chief Economist, Equity Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Director, providing investment strategy analysis to corporations and institutional investors. Early in her career, Freya worked as an Assistant Economist at Morgan Stanley. Freya graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1981 with honors. Freya is widely recognized as an influential fund manager in various international media. In 2018, Bloomberg named her among the world’s Top 50 Business Leaders, a list covering individuals from business, finance, technology, and politics who have made significant contributions to the global economy. Additionally, Fortune magazine invited Freya to participate in its annual Fortune Investor’s Guide expert roundtable, offering deep insights into future markets. In 2016, Freya received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Women in Finance from Market Media in recognition of her remarkable achievements in the financial sector. Freya has also been invited to speak at high-profile international conferences, including the World Economic Forum (Davos), the World Strategic Forum (Miami), the Sohn Investment Leaders Conference (Australia), and the Singularity University Global Summit, where she shares her unique perspectives on future investment trends. In 2018, Freya founded the Caldwell Innovation Institute at her alma mater, MIT, aiming to provide young women with a challenging educational experience, foster innovative thinking, and inspire the next generation of investors and business leaders. Freya remains dedicated to pioneering investments in global markets, driving the advancement of emerging technologies, and creating value for investors worldwide.

Manfred Kleinix Chief Investment Officer (CIO)

Manfred Kleinix joined Brighton Capital in 2017 and is currently Chief Investment Officer (CIO), focusing on quantitative investing, high-frequency trading and cross-asset strategies, and leading the investment team in developing AI-driven trading systems. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) - Master of Science in Computer Science and Financial Engineering ETH Zurich - Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Quantitative Finance Felix is experienced in global capital markets, algorithmic trading, and tech investing, and is committed to the convergence of quantitative finance and technological innovation, helping to keep Brighton Capital at the forefront of the financial markets. Brighton Capital maintains a leading position in the financial markets.

Daniel Beckett Client Portfolio Specialist

Daniel Beckett joined Brighton in March 2024. As a Client Portfolio Specialist, Daniel works directly with Brighton’s investment team to create and deliver in-depth insights for both internal and external clients. Prior to joining Brighton, Daniel served as a Client Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein, specializing in concentrated growth equities and the select U.S. equities platform. Before joining AllianceBernstein in 2022, Daniel spent five years at Franklin Templeton Investments, holding various business development roles, with the majority of his time as a specialist in the Templeton Global Equity Group. Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Eckerd College.

Nathan Carter Director - Senior Product Specialist, BRIGHTONEurope

Nathan Carter, CAIA joined Brighton Capital in October 2021. As a Director and Product Specialist, Tom works closely with clients and the sales team to enhance understanding of Brighton Capital's product offerings. Prior to joining Brighton Capital, Tom served as an ETF Product Strategist at Invesco, worked at Jupiter Asset Management, and held the position of Senior Analyst at alternative asset data provider Preqin. Tom is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Newcastle University.
