Freya N. Caldwell registered Brighton Capital Partners LTD with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in January 2014, serving as an investment advisor. With over 40 years of experience in identifying and investing in innovation, Freya founded Brighton Capital Partners LTD with a focus on disruptive innovation, while adding new dimensions to research. Through an open-ended approach across industries, market capitalizations, and regions, Freya believes that Brighton Capital Partners LTD can identify large-scale public market investment opportunities driven by technological innovations in artificial intelligence (AI), biotechnology, automation, the energy revolution, and blockchain technology. As CEO and Portfolio Manager, Freya leads the development of Brighton Capital Partners LTD’s philosophy and investment approach and holds ultimate responsibility for investment decisions. Before founding Brighton Capital Partners LTD, Freya served as Chief Information Officer of Global Thematic Strategies at BlackRock, managing over $5 billion in assets. Prior to that, she co-founded the hedge fund Bridgewater Associates, which managed approximately $800 million in global thematic strategy investments by 2000. Before her tenure at Bridgewater Associates, Freya spent 18 years at Goldman Sachs, holding positions such as Chief Economist, Equity Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and Director, providing investment strategy analysis to corporations and institutional investors. Early in her career, Freya worked as an Assistant Economist at Morgan Stanley. Freya graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1981 with honors. Freya is widely recognized as an influential fund manager in various international media. In 2018, Bloomberg named her among the world’s Top 50 Business Leaders, a list covering individuals from business, finance, technology, and politics who have made significant contributions to the global economy. Additionally, Fortune magazine invited Freya to participate in its annual Fortune Investor’s Guide expert roundtable, offering deep insights into future markets. In 2016, Freya received the Outstanding Contribution Award for Women in Finance from Market Media in recognition of her remarkable achievements in the financial sector. Freya has also been invited to speak at high-profile international conferences, including the World Economic Forum (Davos), the World Strategic Forum (Miami), the Sohn Investment Leaders Conference (Australia), and the Singularity University Global Summit, where she shares her unique perspectives on future investment trends. In 2018, Freya founded the Caldwell Innovation Institute at her alma mater, MIT, aiming to provide young women with a challenging educational experience, foster innovative thinking, and inspire the next generation of investors and business leaders. Freya remains dedicated to pioneering investments in global markets, driving the advancement of emerging technologies, and creating value for investors worldwide.

As a Client Portfolio Specialist, Daniel works directly with Brighton’s investment team to create and deliver in-depth insights for both internal and external clients. Prior to joining Brighton, Daniel served as a Client Portfolio Manager at AllianceBernstein, specializing in concentrated growth equities and the select U.S. equities platform. Before joining AllianceBernstein in 2022, Daniel spent five years at Franklin Templeton Investments, holding various business development roles, with the majority of his time as a specialist in the Templeton Global Equity Group. Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Eckerd College.

As a Director and Product Specialist, Tom works closely with clients and the sales team to enhance understanding of Brighton Capital's product offerings. Prior to joining Brighton Capital, Tom served as an ETF Product Strategist at Invesco, worked at Jupiter Asset Management, and held the position of Senior Analyst at alternative asset data provider Preqin. Tom is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Newcastle University.

Vikram Kapoor is the Global Head of Indices at Brighton Capital LTD. As an expert strategist in thematic and sustainable investing, Vikram is responsible for leading global systematic (self-indexing) strategies, overseeing the European UCITS product strategy and implementation, and spearheading investment research while managing the firm’s team of product specialists. His research focuses on energy transition, food sustainability, and the digital economy. Prior to joining Brighton Capital Partners LTD, Vikram was the Co-Founder and Director of Rize ETF, Europe’s first specialist sustainable thematic ETF issuer, launched in 2020. Before that, he served as Co-Head of ETF Investment Strategy at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), a platform acquired by LGIM from ETF Securities in 2018. Since 2010, Vikram has worked in the ETF industry, building deep expertise in systematic investment strategies and product development, covering the entire process from ideation to strategic execution. Vikram holds a Master’s degree in Finance from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He is fluent in Swedish, French, and Hindi and is also proficient in conversational Spanish.

As Brighton’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Lauren provides comprehensive regulatory, compliance, and legal guidance across all business matters. Lauren began her career at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a Securities Compliance Examiner in the Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations (OCIE) at the New York Regional Office. After leaving OCIE, she became an Attorney-Adviser in the SEC’s Division of Investment Management, Office of Risk and Examinations. Following her tenure at the SEC, Lauren served as a Management Consultant in the Wealth and Asset Management division at Ernst & Young. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Human and Organizational Development (with a concentration in International Development) from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Howard University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in New York and Georgia.

Prior to joining Brighton, Olivia spent four years at King Street Capital Management (“King Street”) as a Generalist Compliance Analyst, where she led the firm’s KYC/AML and Code of Ethics programs, assisted with all regulatory filings, and managed the review of third-party relationships. Before King Street, Olivia held various positions at HSBC for three years. Olivia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from Boston University.

Ethan Blake joined Brighton Capital Partners LTD in June 2018 as Chief Financial Officer of Investment Products. With over 30 years of experience in fund accounting and management, he leads Brighton’s investment products, accounts, and fund operations. Before joining Brighton, Ethan served as Fund CFO at Foreside Financial Group, LLC, where he acted as the outsourced CFO for Brighton’s ETF suite. Prior to that, he spent over 15 years at State Street Bank, rising to the position of Division Head and Vice President of Fund Administration. During his tenure, Ethan served as Fund Financial Officer/Assistant Financial Officer for 56 clients, overseeing 750 funds with approximately $70 billion in assets, while managing a team of 125 professionals. Before his time at State Street, Ethan worked at Putnam Investments in Boston as an Assistant Vice President for nearly five years, focusing on compliance, risk reporting, and financial reporting. He began his career as a Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen. Ethan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Advisory Services (Accounting and Computing) from Southern New Hampshire University.
